When a ceiling is insulated, the rooms below will retain heat which is not ideal for a tropical home. However, rooms above the insulation will not gain as much heat from lower floors as they normally would. Good airflow ventilation is needed especially if rooms are non air-conditioned. A well insulated room that is primarily intended for air-condition will also save on electricity bills.
